Today after church I had a memorial service at the hospital with Uncle Paul for Annie. Believe it not, Josh was asked to play in a golfing tournament (in November!). Needless to say, we needed to find someone to watch Kate for a bit. Our friends Chad and Kelly told us that Kate could come over for an hour while I went to the memorial. This way Kate could play with their son, Cael.

Here are the pictures that Kelly took!

I think they had a GREAT time.

I like brainwashing my child into cheering her for Nebraska. I have taught her many cheers. She even calls her Nebraska t-shirt her "go big red" shirt.

After today's win to Iowa State, I had her holding her #1 finger up saying that Nebraska is Number 1.

Sorry Grandpa Dave!

This is the best picture in the world, but when we got home from work today Kate had a present from Grandma Sue. It was Toy Story 3! She insisted on sitting in her chair at the end table watching it on her portable DVD player.

Notice Jessie sitting right next to her!

This evening was a Kate and mommy night while Josh had a work function. I picked her up from daycare, and we headed to pick up some sandwiches from Subway then headed back to school. We played in my classroom and ate our sandwiches while waiting for my drama club students to arrive for their first performance of the year. She had a great time watching the kids and playing with my students.

When we got home in the evening, we had some popcorn as a snack and watched some cartoons before heading to bed to read books.

I love "mommy and me" time!
Especially when it involves popcorn...

My little girl has turned into a little mommy to her baby doll.

I think it shows what a great mother she will be someday.

She is so sweet and loving....

And then I see her throw her on the ground!

I begin to worry a little bit: )

My favorite moments are when she scolds her baby.

Can you say 'mini-me'?

We had to start a poopy chart in our house because we have regressed a little on using the bathroom. She had been doing a great job since summer, but recently she began doing a little business here and there in her pants. We are hoping that this poopy chart will stop the behavior.

She is very excited for the reward when she gets all 10 stickers on her chart. She keeps telling Josh and I that she wants the barbie from the Target Christmas flier we got in the mail: the barbie with the puppy and the pool!

Anyway, tonight I happen to walk by the poopy chart and notice that Kate cheated on her poopy chart! She took the "I voted" sticker from when we voted this evening and placed it in the fifth box!

What a stinker!!

I'm not sure what life was like before we had these "friends".
