On our way home from school Tuesday, Kate and I decided that we would stop and buy the flowers to plant in our planters and hanging baskets. Ya know, because it is spring time even though it has been raining and cloudy for I don't know, the past three weeks.
I was a little skeptical to stop at the store so close to dinner time, plus by myself without the assistance of my husband. Sometimes I am amazed at how spastic Kate can be when we go shopping and seems to lose all power to listen. I want to tell people that stare (or I feel are staring) that I'm a great mom, and that she doesn't act like this all the time. Other times, she is a little angel that entertains people who are shopping around me, helps me with my selections, and is the best listener in the world.
Well Tuesday was one of those shopping trips when she was amazing. We had a great time strolling through the greenhouse picking too many flowers that were pink because, well, no other color was pretty to Kate. She even entertianed the salesman by telling him what ones were her favorite. He even allowed her to click the scanner as we checked out. We walked back to the car skipping because it was such a great experience. I felt like mother of the year! So when she asked me for the princess seed starter kit to grow her own flowers while shopping, I had to say yes.
When we returned home, we planted our seeds and are patiently waiting for them to grow. The package says that we might germinate in seven days. I don't know if she can wait that long.
