Today was the rehearsal and dinner for my best friend's wedding. Kate was a champ at rehearsal and did a great job. I'm a little nervous to see how tomorrow goes, but I know she will walk down without any problems!

While having the laundry basket around after folding clothes, Kate decided that the basket would be a lovely place for a bed!

Today I had some errands to run, so I thought why not have Kate practice at the church with her dress on? After we practiced a few times, I had to go out to my car to get my camera to take some videos. She was cracking me up!! I am a little nervous on her "walking" ability.

Then we practiced standing by mommy and holding her hand. That went just as well as "walking"!

Oh well, then we went and met some of my teacher friends and their children for lunch in the park. We forgot really fast how poorly the practicing went. Wishing the best on Saturday!!

I didn't get a picture of Charlie and Kate. I didn't realize it until I got home. Next time : )

Such a big helper with pushing the babiesIzzie Cael and Izzie in one swing!!

We recorded an episode of Word World that had a "monster" on it, so now we like to hide from the scary monster. Today, we decided that to make a fort under the dining room table. We read books and made a little fort staying away from the monster, Shiner!

Tonight we practiced wearing Kate's flowergirl dress and her fancy shoes. She would not sit still for me to take a picture.

I hope that this isn't the pose that she decides on while taking our professional pictures!

Josh and Kate headed home for the weekend to participate in a golf tournament with his high school buddies. Kate will be spending the weekend with Grandma Sue. I got this picture as a text message last night while I enjoyed some time with my colleagues celebrating the end of the school year. It appears that McDonald's on the way home was a hit!

She did tell Josh almost five minutes from his mom's that she wanted to go home now because she missed mommy!

Bless her heart, I miss her too.

Today was my last day with students. It has been a great school year with great students, but it was also a really emotional one. I'm really looking forward to spending my days in the backyard with this little one to recharge me for the next year.

This weekend we invited Josh's dad, brother and grandparents to town to help do a few outside home improvement projects. These were home improvement projects that I knew that we could use some extra hands with. Our goal was to pour some cement next to the house and then scrap and paint the garage, fences, and back porch. Our helpers were great!

While prepping for the cement, they first had to take the old cement stairs out. Grandpa said, "Let's go rent a jackhammer!"

I think Dad really liked it.

I promise, he let others also try it.The old stairs...
Then the cement pouring began.

Meanwhile, Grandma and I were on scrapping duty.
